Dr Carinna Hockham

Carinna Hockham is an early career research fellow in the Renal & Metabolic Division and Conjoint Lecturer at the University of New South Wales. She holds an MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and DPhil (2018) in Spatial Epidemiology from the University of Oxford.
Carinna’s research involves the use of real-world linked data to examine a range of epidemiological questions relating to chronic kidney disease, diabetes and the cardiovascular complications associated with both. She is the Study Director of EXTEND45, a large-scale linked cohort study in New South Wales.
In addition, Carinna uses novel trial methodologies, including adaptive design, to improve health outcomes in people with chronic disease.
