Dr. Sunil Badve is a nephrologist at the St. George Hospital, Sydney and research fellow at The George Institute for Global Health. He is passionate about conducting randomised trials to improve lives of people with kidney disease. His main area of research is progression of chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular outcomes and defining trial endpoints in chronic kidney disease. Sunil is the lead investigator of the CKD-FIX Study, a randomised controlled trial evaluating the effect of allopurinol on the progression of chronic kidney disease. He has worked on several trials conducted by the Australasian Kidney Trials Network.
