Niklas Nielsen is a senior staff specialist in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Helsingborg hospital, and associate professor at the Lund University, Sweden.
He is secretary of the Scandinavian Critical Care Trials Group, leads the TTM working group in cardiac arrest, registry holder of INTCAR (International Cardiac Arrest Registry) and is cofounder of SEBRA Sepsis and Bacterial Resistance Alliance) in Lund Sweden. His research interests are post cardiac arrest care with focus on temperature management, neuroprognostication, cognitive outcome and sepsis. He is currently chief investigator of the TTM2-trial comparing hypothermia to 33°C with normothermia and fever control.
