Research Assistant

Alejandra is a qualitative researcher working as a Research Assistant in the Injury Prevention team.

She is a Dentist, graduating from the University of Colombia and she has worked as a Research Assistant in the Public Health Research Group supporting the logistics and development of an international seminar involving four countries in Latin America, and has completed an internship in the Coordination of the National Public Health Policy in Oral Health in Brazil. As a dentist, Alejandra worked in Colombia for over two years to develop public health programs for vulnerable communities.

Alejandra relocated to Spain to study for a Master’s Degree in applied Anthropology, Health, and Community Development at the University of Salamanca, where she worked with immigrant non-profit organisations around topics of migration and health. To gain further skills in quantitative research she relocated to the UK to study a Master of Science in Public Health, before joining The George Institute.
