MBBS MPH (Health Economic Evaluation)
Shaz has 8 years of experience working in the healthcare sector in India and Malaysia. She obtained a medical degree from Malaysia and graduated with Distinction from the University of New South Wales' MPH program in 2015, specializing in Health Economic Evaluation. Shaz transitioned from working as a government doctor to university career following her move to Australia.
Prior to joining Injury program at The George Institute for Global Health, Shaz was a lecturer for Public Health program at Torrens University Australia and a project officer working across Aboriginal researches at the Australian Centre for Indigenous Thriving, North Sydney. Her previous projects aimed at improving literacy among the disadvantaged population, particularly the Aboriginal children and migrant groups.
