Dr Ha Nguyen
I joined the Injury Division, The George Institute for Global Health and the John Walsh Centre for Rehabilitation Research, the University of Sydney in early 2017. My role is to conduct research projects on prevention of injuries and approach to improve recovery from injuries in Australia and internationally. My research and teaching interest have built from my diverse experience working with disadvantaged populations, including Indigenous people in Australia, children and people in remote regions in Vietnam. Before the George Institute and John Walsh centre, I had 4 years working at the Health Economics and Social Policy at the University of South Australia and nearly 10 year working in Vietnam as an epidemiologist conducting evaluations research for community interventions to improve health for Indigenous populations in Central Australia and to promote safety and injury prevention in Vietnam.
With extensive experience on injury epidemiology, my goal is to use my skills and knowledge to prevent injury, promote safety and improve health and quality of life of injured people.
