A new chapter for The George Institute

The George Institute for Global Health is starting the next phase of its history by moving into 1 King Street, Newtown in Sydney.

Strategically located close to the University of Sydney and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, this new location for the Global and Australian offices, as well as George Clinical and our George Health Enterprises businesses, will facilitate better collaboration across our all research and enterprise programmes.

From its inception 17 years ago, The George Institute has grown rapidly from five employees to over 600 globally, with centres also in China, India and the UK.

Principal Director of The George Institute, Professor Robyn Norton said: “These newly built premises provide a long-term home for The George Institute in Sydney. This move represents a major milestone in our growth, from a small group of researchers based at Royal North Shore Hospital, to a globally established institute. It is a symbol of our work so far and also the work to come.”

Chief Operating Officer Tim Regan said: “We look forward to working and collaborating in this fantastic new location as we strive to improve the health of millions of people around the world.”

The new office is located at 1 King St Newtown, NSW, 2042. Contact numbers are unchanged.
