The George Institute, Australia, gathers national and international experts at regular health policy roundtables to tackle some of the biggest healthcare challenges of the 21st century. Attendees spend the day in discussion and workshopping topics, and produce a set of recommendations to implement effective policy changes.

The George Institute holds an annual NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee) event for our staff to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements.

The George Institute Australia regularly hosts public talks and seminars to facilitate robust conversation on Australia's biggest health challenges and opportunities. These include regular closed roundtables, Q&A and panel style formats, which draw stakeholders from academia, industry, consumers, media and other key health and research representatives. The John Yu Oration and Medal Ceremony is an annual event established to celebrate Dr John Yu’s lifelong devotion to promoting cultural, educational and scientific relationships between Australia and Asia.
