Musculoskeletal research at The George Institute has three main themes: back pain, ageing and contracture. Our aim is to develop simple and effective treatments, delivered well.
To achieve this, we are developing and rigorously evaluating new approaches to the primary care management of musculoskeletal conditions, while promoting innovation and an interdisciplinary approach.
The Division also hosts the Centre for Evidence-Based Physiotherapy to host The Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro). PEDro was established in 1999 to give immediate access to high quality clinical research about the effects of physiotherapy treatments.
