Injury Frailty and Disability

Injury caused by road accidents is a growing problem around the world. It is estimated that nearly 1.2 million people die and between 20 and 50 million are injured or disabled as a result of road accidents every year, which in turn places great pressure on health systems globally. The majority of the deaths occur in South-East Asia and the Western Pacific. Our research program focuses on road traffic injuries, falls prevention and traumatic injury.
